The creation of a large open plan living space, with a full height vaulted ceiling allowing the space to feel light and airy. Source and utilize the latest glazing technology, and install a full array smart home technology. The space needed to be divided in to separate areas without using walls as a barrier, so we utilised smart lighting that was divided into zones, this meant each area could be controlled individually to give different ambient lighting effects depending on which space was in use. The customer chose to use three beautifully made pairs of Ultraline Sliding Doors to give panoramic views of the outside. The space also needed to provide a large entertainment area for parties, so part of the project was to carefully plan the placing of speakers and associated AV equipment, all of which were integrated into the walls to keep the clean aesthetic. The property was going to be filled with Smart Home technology, in total there would be over 200 smart devices in use at any one time, so we devised a Wi-Fi network solution that would be both robust and secure. This is where we turned to our tech team and utilised a range of Ubiquiti Unifi equipment, the cabling of which is all integrated into the walls and powered from a central point. The scope of this project was one of the biggest extensions we’ve taken on, and we pushed the boundaries of our knowledge to create this beautiful space that seamlessly ties into the original house.
